CSA Mid-Atlantic Region Meet Up
A day in Washington, DC to view fashion and costume exhibits, and examine objects from The Textile Museum Collection.

Gather with CSA members to visit The Textile Museum at George Washington University to view Source Material: Lessons in Responsible Fashion with Curator Katrina Orsini and explore specific objects in the Cotsen Textile Traces Study Collection with Museum Academic Coordinator Karthika Audient.
Lunch with members at a local culinary hub (Western Market) and join a guided tour of Callas at La Scala: Costumes for Ifigenia, Amina, Anna, Fiorilla at the Cocoran School of Arts and Design Luther W. Brady Art Gallery.
SCHEDULE OF THE DAY
10:30am: Arrive at The Textile Museum at George Washington University.
10:35am - 12:25pm: Join CSA members to view the Source Material: Lessons in Responsible Fashion exhibit with Curator and Museum Programs Associate for Academic Engagement, Katrina Orsini. Visit the the Cotsen Textile Traces Study Collection to view objects from the collection with Museum Academic Coordinator Karthika Audient.
12:30 - 1:15pm: Walk 2 blocks to the Western Market Culinary Hub for lunch. (Attendees will pay for their own food and drink)
1:30 - 2:30pm: Walk 7 blocks / .6 mile to the Luther W. Brady Art Gallery, at the Corcoran School of Art and Design, to tour the Callas at La Scala: Costumes for Ifigenia, Amina, Anna, Fiorilla exhibit with Gallery Assistant Director Olivia Kohler-Maga.
Transportation/parking information: Using public transportation is highly recommended. The museum is located four blocks from the Foggy Bottom-GWU Metro Station (Blue, Orange and Silver lines), a 15-minute walk from the Farragut North Station (Red line), and is also near many bus lines.
