Join us for an afternoon of fashion history at the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library & Museum in Staunton, Virginia. Our time at the museum will begin with a tour of the exhibition, Remember the Ladies: Fashion, Freedom, and the Fabric of a Nation, with curator Whitney Robertson and conservators Colleen Callahan and Newbold Richardson. The exhibition features a selection of garments spanning 250 years of American women’s history. After the tour, Robertson will present a lecture about Jessie Wilson’s 1913 White House wedding ensemble, which is featured in the exhibition. We will conclude with social time and delicious refreshments. Attendees will also have an opportunity to view the museum’s permanent galleries.
